Alexei Gordin

Multidisciplinary artist based in Tallinn, Estonia

Alexei Gordin (b. 1989) is known for his ironic works exploring the absurdity and insecurity of an artistic career. His practice is grounded in self-irony, critique of the art system, and reflections on the life of an artist under today’s social and economic conditions.
Alexei studied painting in Estonian Art Academy (BA) and University of the Arts, Helsinki (MFA).

Artist’s works are part of several international collections, including:
KUMU (Tallinn, Estonia), KIASMA Museum of Contemporary Art (Helsinki, Finland), TARTMUS (Tartu, Estonia), ZUZEUM (Riga, Latvia), POCO Museum of Pop Art (Tallinn, Estonia), National Gallery of Lithuania (Vilnius, Lithuania).
